INSTALL GUIDE VIDEO

NaturalVision is the result of greatly utilizing ReShade, ENB, VisualSettings and TimeCycle files in combination with the VisualV mod. The goal was to try and make GTA5 look as photorealistic as possible. Over 400 hours of work was put into Version 2.0, which is a complete overhaul of the original mod.

Although this was built on top of VisualV's files, there have been numerous changes made to the environmental weathers, lighting, timecycle and colors in order to improve the aspect of realism. The tonemapping has also been adjusted through VisualSettings and ReShade to try and mimic how we view the real world through our eyes.

Please leave your feedback in the comments section.

This mod requires VisualV in order to properly work.
You can download it at this link.

Install guide is included in the super detailed "README" file within the download.

Currently available in English, Russian and German but additional language support will be added soon.

Please read everything carefully in the readme before commenting about an issue. There is a good amount of useful information in there that should help you troubleshoot your issues and also answer your questions.

In regards to minimum or maximum specs:
The only thing that matters is how you run currently run GTAV without mods and the FPS you're averaging. Take that and subtract the framerate by 5 or 10, depending on which version you decide to use.

    **ANNOUNCEMENT**

Hi everyone, there is a big update that I've been slowly working on for the past month. It's called "NaturalVision Remastered" and has a targeted release of late February / early March. All the weathers are modified in it, not just the extrasunny and clear weather. This update was inspired by various games including GTA4, Forza Horizon 3 and Watch_Dogs - taking the most realistic lighting aspects from those games and trying to recreate the look in GTAV's various weathers.

In v2.2 the sky colors looked very weird and did not fully represent Los Angeles, so I've gone back and recreated most of the sky/fog colors which was a lot of work. I've also increased fog density in certain weathers, adjusted the overall fog, modified clouds, tweaked ambient lighting, added godrays, modified in-game tonemapping and so much more. The ReShade stuff was also modified and there is a major performance boost. Revisiting every major weather has really helped shape this update. Even without ReShade, the mod still holds up on its own this time around and I stand by these words. I look forward to sharing it with everyone when it's ready.

You can view screenshots for NaturalVision Remastered at the following link:

All screenshots were taken at 4k resolution and then resized to my monitor's resolution. The gallery will be updated frequently so feel free to follow it. Trust me, you will like this update.

@Razed Hey man, I was wondering, since you seem to be doing a lot of tweaking with the various visual files, would it be possible to add reflections of the cars in the rain puddles, perhaps as an optional extra or is that locked away deep in the game code?

@Sethos I think that is beyond what me or anyone else on this site can do. It's a much sought after thing but would require editing the shader code and decompiling it. Earlier this year I got in touch with the person behind the 3DMigoto project and he offered to introduce me to someone he referred to as a really good shaderhacker that could possibly achieve this, but I didn't pursue it any further.

@Razed Cool. I hope this mod release sooner than later.

But i'd like to ask a "final" question. I'm not asking the reshade feature "entirely" but i'd like to use SMAA over MSAA due to the performance gain, And with less quality loss.
So Upon this question, Can you provide me (Or maybe anyone, if you like) a reshade/ENB with only SMAA feature? Thanks for the response

Hey @razed - great work on this mods pal, don't let others drive you down cause they know nothing about modding and expect everything done for them - I appreciate your mods and will continue to do so - is there any news on a NVRM release closer? ;) Love the screens you revealed so far - makes this game even more realistic! :)

@Razed Hello, i'm a big fan of NaturalVision but its a little hard to install it, could i make a simple drag and drop version and post it? (With all credits for sure)

@Razed Alright, thanks for the quick reply, guess that will be a dream feature for the foreseeable future :)

@Sethos I think Watch Dogs 2 already has that feature on all surfaces like glass, cars, water etc. Not sure about it but I heard it somewhere.

@LeTuga Remastered is an .oiv file from what I can tell, Razed will elaborate I'm sure.

@VancityD I prefer SMAA myself and I don't think it would be too hard to install reshade and just enabling SMAA yourself if needed. You could probably install the reshaded version and in the reshade menu disable everything but smaa I suspect.

@Stelassin Yup , WD2 Uses Screenspace reflections which reflect everything
@Sethos Not possible until someone decompiles the shader's or edits them somehow

Okay I just got online here. I noticed the admins deleted a handful of comments, so I will repost this:

Rainy Weather: https://imgur.com/a/ydQ20 (Going to add brown/red fog to the night sky)

Sunset: https://imgur.com/a/Ah5hC (Going to try and blend the orange a bit more, though it's not promised. It was really hard to make this as it already stands.)

@SyntheticYT @Mahmud08 I will announce a release date within the next two weeks. It's very close to being completed but there are a few tweaks I am still making. Also a few bugs I need to fix. Once it's released, I will immediately begin working on the first small update which will come out after a few weeks. From there I will just take feedback and see what you guys would like me to add or change.

@VancityD I can easily add something like that in the Optional folder. Only SMAA, no lumasharpen or anything?

@LeTuga Of course but you cannot distribute it on this page due to the rules.

@Stelassin If GTAVI ends up taking place in Vice City then I'm your guy. I live in Miami and know the weather like the back of my hand.

Just a suggestion, please restore the night lights to it's original appareance. Filling the dark spaces between each lampost with white lite just makes the night urban landscape to looks extremely weird(and fake) If you are trying to mimic white LED streetlights, is not possible then to replace the emmiters with white colouring instead of the sodium yellow fx?

@LanGonCer9807 I don't have white lights anymore. Just look here: https://i.imgur.com/i269SOC.jpg

@Razed Than's god! I thought it was going to be the same like in NV 2.1-2.2, i don't know how night VisualV shaders could get messed up by _CP_ and robi29, when orange light at intersections and certain streets of Los Santos bleed all over the place, even without an emmiter:

    https://www.flickr.com/photos/137735387@N03/33489736613/in/album-72157679291777445/

Thou the transition between orange and pink should be smoother, it looks very nice and with a perfect balance between brightness and contrast.

@LanGonCer9807 Yeah I know, I will be working on that. It's just very difficult to blend it without messing up a few things, but I might be able to do it. I managed to do this with ReShade and visualsettings tonemapping a while back, but it was completely different: https://www.flickr.com/photos/137735387@N03/33307792701/in/album-72157679291777445/

It used to be similar to how VisualV does the sunset where the entire sky turns white to push the fog down. I didn't find that method to be realistic and started experimenting. Now the entire sky has a nice dark blue tone but the sunset is still pushed down and there is a balance of white and aqua mixed in there. The orange clashing with the white makes it look a little pink.

@Razed Yeah just SMAA or any optional that doesn't decrease the performance i guess.
