About:
A simple script that adds realistic ear ringing effects for explosions and gunfire in GTA V! This mod adds immersive audio feedback when you are near explosions or shoot firearms, giving a subtle tinnitus effect to enhance gameplay. Purely script-based.
Features:
- Tinnitus sound for explosions within a configurable distance
- Tinnitus sound for gunfire with configurable duration and volume
- Smooth fade-in and fade-out for both sounds
- Configurable settings through HearingDamage.ini
- Easily enable/disable explosion and gun tinnitus independently
Expected features in future updates:
- Optional visual effects (like screen blur or flash)
- Support for additional environmental triggers
Requirements:
- Script Hook V
- Script Hook V .NET (🔸Nightly Build🔸)
- NAudio (included)
Using outdated versions of SHVDN may cause crashes. Use latest versions!
Installation:
Make sure to delete older versions before installing.
Drop the files from the "files folder" into your scripts folder.
If you don’t have a `scripts` folder, just create one in the root GTA 5 directory.
To uninstall, just remove the related `.dll` & `folder` from the scripts folder.
To disable temporarily, move the file out of the folder.
Known Bugs:
No bugs yet. If you find any, report in the comment section.
If you run into issues, reload script or restart game.
Changelog:

to disable ringing from guns go to scripts/HearingDamage/HearingDamage.ini and change GunTinnitusEnabled = true to GunTinnitusEnabled = false

@ThatOneRandomGuy the config is in the folder "HearingDamage". same location as the script.
Nice mod idea really liked the mod but there could be some improvements. Firstly the pistol shouldn't make your ears ring from the first shot really gets annoying quick , would be better if after a couple of shots it starts ringing also you should make the ringing feel stronger on heavier weapons like shotguns miniguns etc also add something that could minimize the sound of the ringing but it also effects your overall hearing for realism (That could be configurable) it could be something like earplugs since headphones wouldn't look good when in combat also an animation on a key press for that would be great. Cool mod idea keep up the good work

I know it sounds crazy that I litreally pirated your mod and telling you, but hey I am ethical and wouldn't ever relase the source code or the mod whats so ever.

@PabloHenriFDS For the screen raindrops effect you can find the mod here "Rain Effects - Enhancement Script" and for the screen blood effect you can find the mod here "Damage Effects" but if you want a more advanced system for the blood effects you can reach the discord of this mod "GSW2" and again I repat the discord version not the one in gta5mods. Find these mod and tell me if you find what you want or not, if not then tell me exactly and clearly what do you want me to implement
@Ali Osama @Ali Osama bro i started highschool again i will most probably not be modding any time soon, im at a top highschool in my city at a hard idk whats called in english like a "path" u choose and mine is like mostly math, physics, chemistry and computer science and i barely have free time anymore, if you really did made the mod better and maybe like what the people in the comments said, when you get a stable version if u want i can upload the update here and fully credit you and add you as one of the creators of the mod!
