    Those having trouble with the game crashing due to the latest update, I'll share what worked for me.
    In the OpenIV (if you have it), you'll see a message on top of the main window saying "Rebuild the mods archive / RPF" (something like that), it even warns you that the game will crash otherwise. It will simply rebuild the mods archive for the game as the game version updated.
