@bravo-one-charlie what about the dispatch.meta thing as you said above? Do I simply just add the vehicles name in there somewhere? Will it spawn in certain districts that I've to assign it to in the notepad?

@bravo-one-charlie I'm so close to getting this to work please help. I may have changed too many .meta names!
I replaced police.rpf with this file and the model and textures load in, but the dash textures are definitely not working right, and the light bars are dinky and not working right.
I went into update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta/vehicles.meta and changed the police model and textures to police(off). Then changed this addon models and textures to "police", the vehicles.meta to "police" and changed the child thing at the bottom to police also. But it must still be pulling info from this original file, because i opened the game, and the car was 2 Wd like the stainer still. I then changed original game vehicles.meta >police> handling to scout. And it is 4wd and drives right. I just can't figure out what is wrong with the dash and the light bars... can someone help with a quick step by step of how to add the addon pack, and then replace the "police" file with this scout suv? Trying not to throw screen across room thanks

@Bloo5799 I recommend you keep it as addon. If you want to see it responding on wanted levels and such just add this vehicle to dispatch.meta. Although you are not making much sense as there is no police.rpf. What you have to do to make a replace properly is 1. Keep the original dlc and rename all of it to POLICE, including carvariations and all that. 2. Copy and paste the vehicles meta lines from the DLC and replace the POLICE entries on the vehicles.meta on update.rpf. 3. Add the proper handling to update.rpf (but seems you got that working)

I fixed it, and it works perfect now! along with your other mod! Thanks for your time in helping me! your mods are great

I replace police.ytd and other files with your model, but my character is not holding a wheel.

I also got bored of driving with the original architecture (sedan, sedan, helicopter, 4x4). Perhaps I could add to Dispatch.meta rather than replace, but who can know how often they will appear? I also forgot about scripts like roadblock and spikes. How can I spawn them instead of boring vanilla? I don't think there are any dispatch.meta guides, but okay, I'll look in a search engine

There're two additional mods that need to be installed into the game (custom gameconfig.xml and packfile limit) which allow for the use of add-ons without RAGE crashing.
