What values do i have to change to lower the traffic? currently there is so many cars on the highways etc they all just crash into each other and it crashes, tried using the ASI and increased it from 8 to 20 and seen no difference?

@any333 - Not really any problems, pretty cool. Just one thing, off in the distance there is a continuous line of cars bumper to bumper rolling by. Like I said it is off in the distance so no deal breaker. When you get closer it clears up.

@johnmac328 The distant cars in the background are from the vehicle spacing lines in the gameconfig. The fake cars in the distance are directly linked to the real cars spawning. There is no way around this as rockstar has programmed the fake traffic to match the real traffic. Here is a video of me demonstrating how to remove the fake cars but it also has an impact on the real cars spawning.

I found this mod works wonderful with the live traffic density mod. Great work!

@marco95 If you want more cars, parked cars, and peds, use the 1.21 version with the the live traffic density mod. It shouldn’t effect your fps too much.

Great job, but can you reduce traffic in rural areas while preserving urban traffic

i assure you if you replace traffic with the modified one (that just says "[FullTraffic]
LowDensityZonesDecrease = 8") you will ruin your game. it needs the entire config settings, not just some text.

by the way, the one that's basically empty is the only config provided. using the one with only the populationconfig isn't the whole config file, either.

it's not working anymore. now there's no traffic. I'm gonna try redownloading the mod and reinstalling it.

apparently if i turn on "reduced vehicle traffic" in menyoo, when i turn it off, it still has no traffic in most areas.

apparently I also didn't replace the one in update.rpf

I'm stumped. I even changed vehiclepopulation.xml and there's still a lot of areas where no traffic spawns at all or it takes a while to spawn

ok, found out what exactly it is: if you go off the road at all, traffic doesn't spawn. There are also large patches of road where no traffic spawns at all.

Couldn't go back to the barren streets of before. I am however getting some crashes here and there. Is there a good value to set packfile and heap at?
