@F7YO I forgot to mention that I tested the gameconfig file with and without modifying the dlclist.xml file, and I get stutters with Add-on vehicles and without add-on vehicles. I feel I've done everything I can to narrow the problem down, and this gameconfig file seems to be the culprit.
@F7YO hey, thanks for all the work you put into this, but I'm experiencing intermittent stutters with this gameconfig file. I removed all my other mods (other than my Add-on cars), and it still does it. I take this gameconfig file out, and the game works just fine even with all my other mods (minus Add-on cars of course). I've been playing this game for years with a modified gameconfig file, and this is the first time I've run into stuttering while using it. Any ideas?
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't seem to find the .dll file for the better chases and arrest warrant script. Is it a part of another .dll script like sixstar or is it just missing? I see all the .xml files for is but not the script itself. Thanks! I am doing a manual install of only certain scripts so that's why I'm wondering.
@seth566 glad I'm not going crazy :). It took me forever to figure out it was the bike. I honestly don't know what the problem could be. I'm not familiar with zmodeler but my guess is that there may be a certain alottment of memory that the game allows for vanilla bikes (maybe that's changed since the update?) and because your file is bigger it goes over the memory limit? I really don't know, just a guess. The new update really screwed up the memory usage for the game and sooo many people are getting memory errors now. A new gameconfig seems to patch most of the issues up, but sadly, this bike causes crashes still for some odd reason.
@seth566 To be clear, it doesn't crash my game when I spawn it in a trainer, but when I'm driving around and happen upon it in Los Santos, that is when my game crashes with a memory error.
@seth566 So, I absolutely love the little touch to the bike, but for some reason, this bike causes my game to give me a memory error. I have a modified gameconfig and every other add-on car works in my game, but this continues to give me an error. I spent a ton of time doing trial and error, and when I removed this bike, my game worked fine.
@Think_Tank yea, I was kind of thinking the same thing. I messaged Eddlm asking as much, but of course, they're pretty tight lipped about some of it. I hope it comes out soon :).
@Think_Tank I tried to get in touch with Eddlm before I pitched this idea on reddit, but he hasn't responded to any comments or messages for that particular mod. I agree with you, this mod is in a very similar vein to that mod, but he hasn't touched his mod in months. If you can have better luck getting in touch with him, that would be cool. I would love to see an update to his better chases mod!
