Heavy machine gun with high rate of fire. It's typical purpose is hiding behind cover, spraying and then praying.
This mod brings you dlcWeapon3 aka Assault MG from beta version of the game. It uses all it's leftover data - the original slot, original stats (with few adjustments), unused sounds, the weapon icon and it's based on it's original beta model with some additional quality upgrades.
Slight changes were made, such as increased rate of fire to 1.2 and bipod replaces grip attachment as it made no sense in the original model. Flashlight attachment was also added since there are side rails for it but it wasn't present on the original weapon.
Issues:
* The grip bone was offset, so when reloading the magazine will clip into the gun for split second and then jump into correct position, this is only really noticeable in slow motion.
* Assault MG originally had it's own animation set which was removed from the game, the mod uses Combat MG animations which are the best match. This essentially means reloading will not fully make sense.
* The weapon will be hipfired even with scope attachment, because the aiming animation offsets the hand and it would introduce clipping into parts of the gun.
* As mentioned, grip attachment was removed because it's placement made no sense, it was replaced by bipod like my Advanced MG mod.
* There's still some UV issues on the bottom of the gun, i fixed most of them but left a few that aren't as annoying. This gun is a modified version of Max Payne 3 model that isn't great to begin with.
* The model might still not be of the best quality, just be aware of that.

1.Open the zip and then drag and drop the "slick_assaultmg" folder to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks.
2.Add assaultmg entry to dlclist.xml located in mods\update\update.rpf\common\data (Look at original lines for reference).
Weapon spawn name is WEAPON_ASSAULTMG.
This mod fully supports AddonWeapons, interact with the crate and find the weapon in Machine Guns category.

im new to OpenIV mods and was wondering what or how i enter assaultmg entry to dlclist.xml? i know how to access dlclist but i do not know what to enter

can't seem to get this mod to work on gtav enhanced with the latest update, anyone have a recommended mod list that currently works to prevent crashes while using this?

I guess so, even converting it with the rpf explorer didn't do anything. Crashes the game when I spawn it in. Any chance you'll redo it or update it for enhanced?
